PURSUIT: A Novel – 38: Garden

Solomon River, Kansas – Easter Sunday Afternoon, March 26, 1989
Bobby slid off the ledge into the cool pool of water. Seeing her breasts for the first time, his eyes level with her pink nipples, he stood transfixed. She lowered herself into the pool, slid off her hot pink shorts as he did his red boxers and they tossed them onto the bank. The still water edged around her torso, two tempting apples floating on the surface.
“Tits to die for, huh?” Bobby said.
“Die? No, you won’t die. I am playing games with you, to awaken something powerful in you,” she said.
He approached her, eyed her fruit, and lusted after their mouth-watering beauty. He plucked a fruit with his hand and lowered his head.
Then they heard the sound of leaves rustling and twigs breaking.
For the first time, they sensed their vulnerability and climbed out of the water and rushed to hide their naked bodies. They took cover among the trees and hid.
